I always have a quotation for everything – it saves original thinking. –Dorothy L. Sayers
If you’ve noticed, I start each blog post with a quote. I can usually apply a quote to pretty much any topic. Words hold so much power, so why not share some encouraging words amongst friends? J
Below are I decided to compile a quick list of quotes to get you through your week. Depending on your mood, you made a little encouragement, humor, sarcasm, etc. to spice up your week.
Sunday
Sunday is a day to clear the mind of all that has transpired the week before. -Byron Pulsifer
I usually try to spend my Sunday recapping the week and mentally preparing for the week to come. I’d love to say I use Sundays as a day of rest, but who am I’m kidding. I’m usually doing grocery shopping, cooking, laundry, play time, and the list goes on and on. By 11pm, I’m finally getting to the “rest” part of the day. In 2019, I need to reclaim my time and get my Sunday back!
Monday
Either you run the day or the day runs you. –Jim Rohn
Mondays are a little hard for me. This is likely due from having a sleep deficit from the prior week. I know, I know. Rest is important. I’m a work in progress, ok? LOL! This quote is good because it gets my hype to attack and own my week. And for those Mondays that involve a workout, I get super hype!
Tuesday
The future depends on what you do today. –Mahatma Gandhi
Have you ever told yourself that you would do something tomorrow? Well my friend, time waits for no one (Wait, is that an extra quote?J)! If you want it to happen in the future, prepare for it today.
Wednesday
It’s Wednesday! I’m breathing, healthy, and truly blessed. I’m grateful for this day. –Vanessa Smiley
Start (or end) your day with a few words of gratitude. It’s easy to get caught up with problems and issues of everyday life. Taking the time to acknowledge and be thankful for your blessings can usually improve your mood. Surround yourself with positive thoughts, energy, and people to keep your space uplifting.
Thursday
Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you. –Dr. Seuss
As a mom to two little kids, of course I will have a Dr. Seuss quote! I love the encouragement and positivity in the Dr. Seuss books. I may be grown, but I still find ways to boost my self esteem and self confidence. There is only one me in the entire world, so I need to make sure I’m on point!
Friday
If you must have motivation, think of your paycheck on Friday. –Noel Coward
Payday Fridays are some of the best days of the month. Now keeping track of bills and expenses are not exactly fun, but getting on the path of debt reduction and financial freedom is worth it.
Saturday
Imagine living a life where every day are your Saturdays and Sundays. Make every day your weekend. Make every day a play-day. – James A. Murphy
You’re supposed to live your life, right? It may seem possible, but it is possible to transform your days into an endless weekend. It’s about your mindset. Get excited and live your best life so every day can be as amazing as a Saturday!
Hopefully these quotes give you what you need to make it through the week. If not, what quotes do you enjoy?
