My New Pretty Loves

Lately, I’ve developed a new hobby. Unfortunately for my bank account, it involves spending money, but it makes me happy. My new hobby has fostered a new appreciation for what the earth provides and the beauty of nature. While I would like to say, my hobby is gardening, I just do not have a green thumb.

Starting around March or April of this year I developed an interest for crystals. Yep, crystals! Crystals have been around forever, but I just stumbled upon them this year. I’m drawn to their colors and beauty. While intrigued by their beauty, I have been interested in learning about their healing properties. Of course naysayers will say there is no scientific support of crystals, tons of people beg to differ.

In only a few months, I have grown quite a nice collection of crystals. Here are some of my favorite crystals I have grown to love.

Rose Quartz

This is the stone of universal love. Some say it is the stone of unconditional love and infinite peace and the most important crystal for the heart chakra. I definitely keep this one close.

Amethyst

This is a protective stone. It helps to relieve stress and calms the mind and spirit. I’ve actually bought a few amethyst pieces because any help I can get to reduce stress is much appreciated! Plus, I just love purple.

Blue Lace Agate

This stone enhances mental function and improves concentration. It’s great for resets and new beginnings. Something about the circular patterns is so soothing to me.
