“You don’t inspire others by being perfect. You inspire them by how you deal with your imperfections”

Timing is everything. For the past few years, I’ve tried to figure out what I want to do in my life. I’ve been in insurance since 2001. It’s been a good run, but I need something else to feel fulfilled. Yes, receiving a check every other week is fulfilling…more like filling my bank account. LOL! However, I need something else to have personal satisfaction.
So, I’ve taken some time to think about what would make me more fulfilled. Since I spend most of my time working, I hope a new job would be more fulfilling. Making a difference, helping others, and earning a paycheck sounds like a good combination, right? So what job encompasses all of that?
So, I like working out (even though I’ve been on a hiatus), and I like helping others have a better understanding about exercise and living a healthy lifestyle. But, how can I teach someone about exercise and having a healthy lifestyle when I like French fries and doughnuts? Enter in today’s quote.
You see, I’ve considered transitioning into the fitness industry for the past 6 months. However, I didn’t feel like I could because I’m not the typical fit person. I’ve let the fact that I need to lose some weight (15…no, 20…really 30 pounds) prevent me from moving forward. I figure I need to look like a fitness model rather than 30 year-old something insurance consultant. I’ve also let “life” – being a wife, raising a toddler, having a full time job, and trying to keep the house right side up – get in the way.
But that’s not the case. Maybe my story can be inspiring. My daily struggle to make the right choices about food and exercise is similar to the next person. I’ve decided to create a blog to captures my journey. This blog will chronicle my fitness journey – my progress (or lack thereof), what works for me, and how I balance all the things life throws at me.
