Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.

Let’s talk about energy? Do you find yourself dragging throughout the day? Is this a repeated pattern day to day? With everything going on in the world today, I’m not surprised if you feel a major energy drain. There are days I feel it too. There are days when all I want is a nice meal and a nap. Hell, who am I kidding? Sometimes all I want is a nap.
Well, I have good news for you. I’ve figured out a few ways to boost my energy naturally and quickly. You do NOT need to continue with this ongoing cycle of have little to no energy. Check out some of the ways I have boosted my energy.
Get Up & Move
One of the best ways to get a boost of energy is to exercise. Now, before your roll eyes, just hear me out. Exercise is a great pick me up since it helps to circulate oxygen and helps release stress hormones to get you energized. If you’re like me, a good workout helps me sleep at night. Don’t have time for an extensive workout? No worries. A quick 10-15 brisk walk to get your blood flowing is good too!
Dance It Out
So if exercising is not your thing, what about dancing? Put on your favorite song and dance like nobody is watching! I have music playing the majority of the day – working, fixing dinner, driving in the car, putting the kids to sleep, etc. I use music for good and bad moods – to keep me in a good mood or lift me out of a bad mood. In fact, I’m listening to music while I’m writing this post. When I need a quick energy boost, I turn to an upbeat song and dance. My impromptu dance parties are a huge hit with the kids and help everyone let out some steam.
Step Outside
I’ve found getting some fresh air definitely brings a boost of energy. I get an extra boost when I’m outside and the sun is shining. Nothing beats taking a few deep breaths with the sun shining down on your face. On those days, where I’m not able to get outside, I open a window and let the fresh air come in.
Drink Water
I feel so much better on the days when I have a good water intake (i.e. at least 80 ounces of water). I can feel a major difference on the days when I’m hydrated versus the days I’m dehydrated. Now I know to some people, water is boring. Some people even think eater has no taste. Well, if it’s hard for you to drink water, try adding some fruit to your water or drinking water at different temperatures.
As my mom says, “Life is meant to be enjoyed not endured!” So, my friend, what are you doing to enjoy your life? Are you gonna continue to go through life with low energy levels? Or are you going to find a way to boost your energy? I hope you find a method that works for you. Me, I’m gonna get back to my dance party!
