In order to carry a positive action we must develop here a positive vision.

It’s a new day, and a new week! Today is a great day to start with a refreshed vision. Starting the week with a positive vision is a great way to set the stage for your week.
I usually start my mornings with a sense of peace. Well, that’s my wish. Usually the mornings are spent helping my husband get our son dressed, starting a load of laundry, trying to catch the weather and traffic report, cleaning the breakfast dishes, picking up toys, or doing some other household task.
Once my husband and son leave the house, I have some “me” time. This usually comprises of me lying back in the bed for another 5-10 minutes. On those really rough days, it may be an extra 20-30 minutes!
As I’m lying down I do my best not to go back to sleep. Most days I’m successful because I’m working on my vision. Sometimes the vision is more short term (i.e. setting a vision for what I want to accomplish that day). Other times, I set a vision for more long term goals (i.e. setting a life goal vision).
Whether it’s short term or long term, having a vision or direction is important. Oftentimes, I find myself living aimlessly. Getting in a rut, doing the same things, eating the same foods, etc. Then, I get frustrated because I’m in this rut.
Having a vision is important to having a positive outcome. A vision gives you direction and purpose; it’s an important element to being successful.
Once you’ve set your vision, it’s important to keep it in focus. A few months ago, some friends and I got together for a vision board party. We brought in old magazines, poster boards, markers, and stickers to create our own vision board.
My vision board focuses on health, career, and motivation. These are three areas I need to keep at the forefront as I lose focus at times. It’s ok to lose focus, but it’s important to get back on track.
So, what’s your vision? Spend 5-10 minutes thinking about a vision. Once you have your vision, memorialize it. Make a vision board, either a tangible one or an electronic one. (I love Pinterest!) Once you’ve made your board, put it in a place you will see it on a regular basis. Let the board reach your conscious and subconscious levels. Review your board often. As you have new visions, you can create a new board.
After a while reflect on your visions and their outcome. How do you feel? Hopefully, establishing a positive vision will help you stay focused and get your life headed in the direction you choose!
